CURRENT STATUS AND ACTIONS
Fire is still within the planned containment lines, but because of a slight increase in activity the fire has moved to within ¼ mile of McCart Lookout. Consequently, firefighters are planning strategic burnout operations around the lookout tower for today or tomorrow (8/26 or 8/27). In addition, crews are still working on cleaning up containment lines along the 5762 Road.
WEATHER
Warming weather with lower relative humidity expected throughout the week and into the weekend. With dryer and warmer weather an increase in fire activity is expected towards the weekend.
