CURRENT STATUS
Fire is still within the planned containment lines, but there has been an increase in fire activity and some growth was observed in the past 48 hours. Firefighters completed burnout operations around the McCart lookout tower on 8/26. In addition, crews are still working on cleaning up containment lines along the 5762 Road. Given the warming and drying weather conditions more active fire behavior is expected. A Type 3 Incident Management Team has been ordered and will arrive on 8/30.
WEATHER AND FIRE BEHAVIOR
Warming weather with lower relative humidity are expected throughout the week and into the weekend. High winds are forecasted for the afternoon with higher fire activity expected.
