KEY MESSAGE
Nevada Team 1 with Incident Commander Joseph Powell arrived last night and will take command of the fire at 0600 on August 31st.

CURRENT STATUS
Yesterday, crews successfully burned-out a section off of the containment line towards the fire perimeter. Burnout operations will continue today on the northwestern side of the fire, following the containment line. This will allow fire managers to reduce the amount of unburned fuel between the previously established fire breaks and the perimeter of the fire.  Given the warming and drying weather conditions more active fire behavior is expected. Crews are still working on cleaning up containment lines along the 5765 Road.

WEATHER AND FIRE BEHAVIOR
Warming weather with lower relative humidity is expected throughout the week and into the weekend.
