Per the Boise County Sheriff's Office this afternoon:Lightning Creek area is now reduced from a Level 2 down to a Level 1. Danskin and Gallagher Creek area is now reduced from a Level 3 to a Level 1.Southfork Road and area is no longer under any preparedness level.

The Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team 3 invites the public to a community meeting on Friday, August 30 at 6pm in the white barn building near 85 Severance Rd Garden Valley, Idaho for current fire updates on the Middle Fork Complex.

As of early afternoon on Thursday, August 29, the Banks-Lowman Highway (Highway 17) has reopened to regular traffic. Please use caution as there are still plenty of fire operations happening in the area.

Boise National Forest has expanded the closure order for the Wapati Fire. The closure has expanded west to adjoin the Middle Fork Fire Complex. Closed Forest Service Roads now include 582, 555, and 563, among others.

The next community meeting for the Middle Fork Complex will be held on Monday, August 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the white barn building, located at 85 Severance Road, Garden Valley, ID. The Incident Commander and other key incident command team members, along with representatives from the Boise National Forest, will provide updates on the fires and address any questions.

Join us in person at 6:00pm on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Community Center Garden Valley Hall at 342 Village Circle Crouch, Idaho for a community meeting on the Middle Fork Complex Fire.

Join us for a Middle Fork Complex, Bulltrout, and Wapiti Fire Community Meeting Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 7pm for an in-person explanation of current fire activity and planned actions on these fires. The Community Meeting will be located at the Lowman Emergency Services Station 80, at 8000 HWY 21, Lowman, ID.
