Per Chelan County Emergency Management, 7/14/2024:Chelan County Sheriff's Office has issued a Level 1 Fire Advisory for Stehekin Area. The affected area is Lake Chelan up Lake from Hazard Creek to High Bridge Ranger Station. You will be kept advised as conditions change. Please monitor local radio stations and Chelan County Emergency Management Facebook for updates.

7/6/24 PIONEER FIRE EVACUATION LEVEL UPDATES: This morning, Chelan County Emergency Management extended the Level 3 evacuation level (get out now) down lake to Safety Harbor. From Chelan County Emergency Management:PIONEER FIRE EVACUATION LEVEL UPDATES: Evacuation levels are expanded on the Pioneer Fire, which is burning on the north shore of upper Lake Chelan. Below we have attached a map of the evacuation levels as well as a close-up map of those evacuation levels up river.

PIONEER FIRE EVACUATIONS UPDATE: Evacuation levels are changing on the Pioneer Fire, a 1,172-acre fire on the north shore of Lake Chelan that has been burning since June 8.**The Rex Creek area remains under a Level 3 evacuation. Level 3 (in red) means leave the area immediately.
