The House Draw Fire exhibited Minimal fire behavior today as interior unburned fuels, primarily cottonwood trees in drainage bottoms, continue to consume. Low elevation fuels across the fire have consumed leaving minimal heat sources. Hot and dry conditions will increase the potential for new starts from suppression and repair activities.

Planned Actions

Suppression repair.

Projected Incident Activity

12 hours: Hot, dry, and windy conditions will elevate potential fire behavior. Interior fuels will continue to consume and spread through any available fuels. Minimal heat and fuels exists which will reduce the potential threat to containment lines.


24 hours: Sustained warm and dry conditions will persist keeping fuels moistures low and available to support active fire behavior. Interior pockets in timbered stands will continue to consume.

Remarks

SW CIMT 5 is also managing the Remington, Flat Rock and Constitution Fires. 

Cooperator meetings will be held on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.

Reduced acreage due to more accurate mapping.

Southeast winds steadily decreased throughout the day with sustained speeds from 12 to 16 mph with peak gusts observed in the range of 23-27 mph near I90 DOT station at the House Draw Fire. Temperatures were hot in the upper 90s, with minimum relative humidities
in the single digits.
