The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest consists of 27 lightning-caused fires totaling approximately 8,885 acres, with 796 people assigned. The Middle Fork Fire in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park has 40 people assigned, and the Diamond Complex is sharing resources as needed. The park remains open.

The Middle Fork Fire in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park has 52 people assigned, but the Diamond Complex is sharing resources as needed.  Crater Lake National Park remains open. 

Today, the Northern Rockies Complex Incident Management Team 3, Incident Commander Mike Behrens, assumed command of the Diamond Complex and Middle Fork Fire.  

Yesterday about .10 inches of rain fell across the fire area and helped firefighters establish containment line on the most critical fires. Weather prevented the usual overnight infrared mapping flight, so no acreage update is available. The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest is estimated at 6,134 acres and 11% contained, with 475 people assigned.
