PROHIBITIONS
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following are
prohibited on the National Forest System (NFS) lands, roads, and trails in the Emmett
Ranger District, Boise National Forest, described below and shown on the attached map
incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A (the “Described Area, Roads, and Trails”):
1. Going into or being upon the Described Area. 36 CFR § 261.52(e).
2. Being on the Described Roads. 36 CFR § 261.54(e).
3. Being on the Described Trails. 36 CFR § 261.55(a).
EXEMPTIONS
Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
1. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails,
or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this
Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is
not required under 36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).
2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting
force in the performance of an official duty.
3. Federal or State administrative personnel in the performance of an official duty.
DESCRIBED AREA, ROADS, AND TRAILS
The Described Area is all NFS Lands within the following boundaries: Beginning at the
southwest corner of Section 24, Township 10N, Range 4E and continuing east along the
southern boundary of Sections 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 of Township 10N, Range 5E
before turning North and following the eastern boundary of Sections 1, 12, 13, and 24,
Township 10N, Range 5E. The Described Area Boundary then continues north following

the eastern boundary of Sections 1, 12,13, 24, 25, and 36, Township 11N, Range 5E as
well as the eastern boundary of Sections 25 and 36, Township 12N, Range 5E to the
intersection of Section 25, Township 12N, R5E with NFS Road # 671. From here, the
described area boundary follows NFS Road # 671 northeast to its junction with NFS Road
# 671E and NFS Road #678 in Section 20, Township 12 N, Range 6E. The boundary
then turns west and follows NFS Road # 678 to its junction with NFS Road # 698. From
this intersection, the Described Area Boundary continues south following NFS Road #698
to its junction with NFS Road # 670. From this junction, the Described Area Boundary
follows NFS Road # 670 southwest to its junction with NFS Road # 693 where the
Described Area Boundary turns south and follows NFS Road # 693 to the Boise National
Forest Boundary in the northeast corner of Section 20, Township 10N, Range 4E. From
this point, the Described Area Boundary follows the Boise National Forest Boundary north
along the eastern boundary of Section 20, Township 10N, Range 4E, east along the
southern edge of Sections 14, 15, and 16, Township 10N, Range 4E. The Described
Area Boundary continues north along the eastern boundary of the W ½ of Section 14,
Township 10N, Range 4E, and continues east along the southern edge of Sections 11
and 12, Township 10N, Range 4E. From the southeast corner of Section 12, Township
10N, Range 4E, the Described Area Boundary continues south along the western edge
of Section 18, Township 10N, Range 5E then west along the northern edge of Section
24, Township 10N, Range 4E, then south along the western edge of Section 24, Township
10N, Range 4E to the southwest corner of Section 24, Township 10N, Range 4E where
the Described Area Boundary was initiated as shown in Exhibit A.
The Described Area is located in Boise County, Idaho.
The Described Roads are all NFS Roads located within the Described Area: NFS Roads
#454, #611, #670, #671, #671A, #671B1, #671G, #671H, #671I, #678, #678I, #693,
#693A, #693B, #693D, #693O, #693R, #693T, and #698.
The Described Trails are the following NFS Trails located within and near the Described
Area: NFS Trails #003, #025, #032, #035, #043, #448, #450, #451, #454, #461, #462 and
#465.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this Order is to protect public safety during the Bulldog Fire
IMPLEMENTATION
1. This Order shall be in effect from August 8, 2024, at 08:00 AM through December
31, 2024, at 11:59 PM, unless rescinded.
2. A map identifying the Described Area, Roads, and Trails is attached and made
part of this Order as Exhibit A. For a digital version of this Order and Exhibit A, go

3. Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are
defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II,

Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the
Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined
by their plain language definitions.
4. A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by
a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by
imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C.
§§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.

information about this Order.
6. This Order supersedes any previous Orders prohibiting the same or similar acts
on the same Described Area, Roads, and Trails].
