BOISE, Idaho, Aug. 22, 2024 – The Boise National Forest is expanding two closure areas around growing wildfires, one located near Grandjean and the other east of Garden Valley.

The Bulldog and Nellie fires’ closure area, located north and east of Garden Valley, has been expanded along its southern end to include the closing of Hot Springs Campground, Danskin Rest Area Boat Launch, Pine Flats Campground, Deadwood Campground and Deadwood River Access Site. This new closure becomes effective Aug. 23 at 8 a.m.

The Wapiti Fire closure area, surrounding Grandjean, is being expanded to the north and east, including portions of the Sawtooth National Forest and Salmon-Challis National Forest.
