Baker County -Evacuation Level Update for 7/30/24-Yesterday afternoon, a cold front with a small amount of rain moved into the area. After considering the weather conditions and level of fire activity, changes have been made to the evacuation levels throughout Baker County.Multiple areas have been reduced to a Level 2 (BE SET) or are no longer under any evacuation level.

Baker County -Evacuation Level Update for 7/28/24-Level 2 (BE SET) has been issued for Rye Valley Lane and Mormon Basin Road, south to the Baker County line. This area was previously a Level 3 but has been reduced.All other evacuation levels are expected to remain the same throughout today.

Due to the fire activity, evacuation levels have been updated. Many areas have been reduced to a lower level and others have been eliminated.The most significant change is that the Level 1 (BE READY) near the southern outskirts of Baker City has been eliminated.The City of Huntington and Snake River Road have been reduced to a Level 1.

Evacuation update 7/25/24All evacuation recommendations for the Durkee and Cow Valley fires in MALHEUR COUNTY ONLY are lifted.We do have some additional small fires in the County from yesterdays lightning. We will continue to monitor them and put information out as needed.

City of Huntington Evacuation Level Update-After conferring with fire officials and evaluating the situation, Baker County Sheriff's Office reduced the evacuation level for the City of Huntington to a Level 1 (BE READY).Check back tomorrow for additional updates on evacuation level: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064434892363

Additional evacuation levels have been issued for the the following areas:Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuation has been issued east of Highway 245, south of US Forest Service Road 11 and west of Deer Creek drainage.Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuation has been issued for northwest of Iron Mountain, southeast of the Pleasant Valley area and south of Pritchard Creek.
