The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for dry lightning over the fire area today. Scattered thunderstorms may also produce gusty and erratic winds.  
The daily infrared mapping flight was not completed yesterday so acreages have not been updated. The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest is still estimated at 5,622 acres and 11% contained, with 506 people assigned. The Middle Fork fire within Crater Lake National Park is still estimated at 728 acres and 1% contained with 19 people assigned. The park remains open. There are fire personnel in the area, so visitors should use caution when traveling within the park. 
The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest is estimated at 5,622 acres and 11% contained, with 554 people assigned. The Middle Fork fire within Crater Lake National Park is 728 acres and 1% contained with 46 people assigned. The park remains open. There are fire personnel in the area, so visitors should use caution when traveling within the park.

 The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest is estimated at5,188 acres and 7% contained and Middle Fork is715 acres and 1% contained, within Crater Lake National Park. The park remains open. There are fire personnel in the area, so visitors should use caution when traveling within the park.  
July 28, 2024Northwest Team 7 is currently managing the Diamond Complex, estimated at 4,990 acres and 7% contained, consisting of 26 fires.  The team has assumed command of the Middle Fork, 659 acres and 1% contained, within Crater Lake National Park. The park remains open. There are fire personnel in the area, so visitors should use caution when traveling within the park.Currently there are 27 fires and 620 personnel assigned to the two incidents. 
July 27, 2024Northwest Team 7 is currently managing the Diamond Complex, estimated at 4,489 acres and 7% contained, and have assumed command of the Middle Fork, 641 acres and 1% contained within Crater Lake National Park. There are currently 25 fires and 570 personnel assigned to the two incidents.

July 26, 2024**Diamond Complex Q & A session at Diamond Lake Resort, 10:30 am, Saturday July 27, 2024. Fire staff on hand to answer community questions.**A large-scale lightning event on July 16 started several fires on the Diamond Lake Ranger District of the Umpqua National Forest. The fires are being managed as the Diamond Complex. It consists of 24 fires and an estimated 4,166 acres with 3% containment and 395 personnel assigned.

July 25, 2024Fires resulting from a lightning storm on July 16 on the Diamond Lake Ranger District of the Umpqua National Forest are under a full suppression strategy, managed as the Diamond Complex.
